Rochon was the sole baby born to Zelma Staples. A businessman, she is also Zelma's daughters nurse practitioner. Cerritos high school in Cerritos was where she graduated from. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism 1986 at California State University Dominguez (CSUDH). Minors were the study of sociology as well as drama. Ullerup's first role was that as Julia Brynn on the remake the television show Battlestar Galactica in 2006, that aired on Sci Fi Channel. She played Ashley Magnus for the first season and then the second on Sanctuary before the character was developed. It was her exit that caused heated debate among the supporters. Many wanted to bring the character back for a future episodes, but the show was cancelled in 2012. Ullerup appeared as Bree O'Brien, in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup was chosen to play Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas his estranged spouse in Asteroid: Final Impact (2005). Since 2016 Ullerup has had a recurring part as Dale Travers in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films series.
