Rochon was born at Torrance (a suburb of Los Angeles), is the daughter of Zelma Staples. Her parents are Samuel Staples a graphic designer and businessman. Cerritos Senior High School, in Cerritos California was the place where she graduated in 1982. Her graduation was in 1986 at California State University Dominguez Hill (CSUDH) with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism, minoring in Theatre and Sociology. Heather Storm works as a travel writer, television host and producer. A car enthusiast, Heather has worked as a TV host, producer and writer for various networks. Ullerup's debut role was of Julia Brynn on the remake the television show Battlestar Galactica in 2006, that aired on Sci Fi Channel. In the initial two seasons of Sanctuary, she played Ashley Magnus until the character was removed. The fans were furious over her departure and were hoping to see her come back in the next episodes. Sanctuary ended in 2012, but not before an intense debate. Ullerup was cast in 2016 as Bree O'Brien for Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup portrayed Maggie Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact, the movie which was about the catastrophe of 2015. From 2016, Ullerup is seen in a frequent role in the role of Dale Travers in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies series.
