Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for Food Network. Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals straightforward and simple techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell has also worked at many of the best eateries located in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell, who grew up living in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. After obtaining an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic learning experience. I couldn't seem to get enough enjoyment from the experience. After graduating, chef Burrell was in Italy for a year, attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture which has had an impact on her own perception of food. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children living with challenges. She is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. as a speaker, guest and mentor Burrell travels throughout the US to talk about her culinary passion and career. Through her culinary adventures, Anne often says that she feels so lucky to be able to share what I love most in life with others.
